Marcel has a professional track record of 25 years and is globally experienced as consultant and manager in the fields of innovation, competitiveness, business & cluster development, foreign direct investment services and branding of technology parks. He has developed and implemented a wide range of financial cluster instruments to stimulate co-operation between companies and knowledge institutes, within the framework of EU-programs. He was engaged in developing High Tech Campus Eindhoven into a world-class open innovation campus and responsible for promotion and investment services to foreign high-tech companies and startups. On behalf of High Tech Campus Eindhoven and the Brabant Development Agency, he served dozens of leading private companies, helping them with their site selection, expansion or investor relation management, such as Fuji, Omron, Mitutoyo, Tyco, Tesla, ITRI, Gigaphoton, Bosch, Philips, Richtek, Dalsa. He has abundant experience in delivering solutions to facilitate overseas business development of global businesses, and supporting their decision-making process to maximize the return on investment of their location decisions for new sites (green field) and existing facilities (expansion).

Marcel has abundant experience in internationalization and integration of companies into global value chains. For the private sector, he delivers solutions to facilitate overseas business development of international businesses worldwide and supports decision-making process to maximize the return on investment of location decisions for new sites (green field) and existing facilities (expansion). For the public sector, he addresses foreign direct investment and trade promotion needs of economic development agencies and other regional authorities, and assists investment promotion agencies worldwide to nurture and win investment projects.
