Iris Arbel

Iris has over 15 years of experience in the management of innovation and development of innovation culture in companies. Her specific experience is in organizational change for successful management of innovation processes. Over the last 8 years, Iris has been working as a co-partner of the Knowledge Centre for Innovation of Technion, which focuses on promoting innovation at national level through consulting and policy influence. She is also teaching innovation at the Technion, and offering training and other capacity building as well as consulting services to private companies.

Over the past four years, she has served as a Vice President of Strategy and Innovation at Tadbik, a world leader in flexible packaging solutions, labels and industrial automation. Iris is also leading the “Managers for Innovation” forum, which is formed by senior executives from some 300 companies; the “Seeds of Innovation” program, a national initiative supported by the Ministry of Economy to promote technological innovation through student mobility; and designed the innovation standards for industrial companies for the Standards Institute of Israel, among other things.

Iris has a PhD from the Technion, one of the top science and technology research universities in the world. Her doctoral research focused on the development and implementation of an innovative intervention, which aimed to overcome the obstacles in team heterogeneity and innovation, and to use heterogeneity as an advantage to achieve breakthrough innovations.
